The ICP is a meeting place for international employers and service providers in the Greater The Hague region. Together they take action to improve the quality of life on topics relevant for international employees arriving in the Netherlands.

‘Improving the work & living environment for the (international) employees and families in The Hague and surrounding municipalities and thereby, the working environment for employers themselves.’

The International Community Platform (ICP) was founded within the context of the international ambitions of the Greater The Hague. The top 20 international employers realised that by joining forces they can achieve more in finding solutions to their common challenges.

Their shared challenges relate to the topics of recruiting and retaining high potential employees due to the increasing importance of 'soft factors' in making the decision to take the next career step. These so-called 'soft factors' involve the subjects of the living and working environment for employees and their families and include the following: housing, education, healthcare, childcare, labour mobility for partners, public transport, etc.

In the past, the one-to-one approach with public and private parties has proven less effective. The ICP works together through an alignment process in order to find common issues and solutions and to speak to the local public and private service providers with one voice.

ICP helps to build the bridge between international demand and local supply in the Greater The Hague region.
