The Hague Innovators Challenge 2020

With the The Hague Innovators Challenge, the municipality each year challenges organisations and students to present innovative ideas for global issues. The best ideas could win a cash prize.

The world is growing ever more complex and issues are becoming increasingly international. At the same time, subjects such as security, energy, climate and food are having a huge impact on people living in the city.

Wanted: innovative ideas

The Municipality of The Hague is aiming to connect innovators with businesses, knowledge institutes and international organisations under the ‘Impact Economy’ programme. This way they can work together to solve global societal issues. Innovative ideas can also arise. To give these concepts a helping hand the municipality is holding a competition.

Who can participate?

Companies and organisations from The Hague region are allowed to take part. Are you not yet based in The Hague? Then the municipality needs a declaration of intent, which shows that you will settle in The Hague if you win a prize. Students can also take part. They can compete for the student prize.

Prizes

The 9 selected nominees will all win 3 workshops, a videoclip and media attention (total value is € 35,250).

There are 4 prizes available for the winners:

  • € 10.000 (student prize)
  • € 15.000 (startup prize)
