Goeverneurplein: bring your bulky waste on Thursdays

Published: 18 March 2021Modified: 18 March 2021

From 25 March to 22 April 2021 there will be a weekly bulky waste collection day on Thursdays on the Goeverneurplein in the Laakkwartier. Residents can then bring the items they would like to get rid of. They can drop off their stuff between 16.15 and 18.15 hrs.

This will be a temporary programme. The municipality will look if it will result in less rubbish being placed on the street. Later this year there will also be extra collection days for bulky waste in the Escamp and Centrum city districts.

What you can drop off

  • bulky waste (such as furniture, boards, boxes and mattresses)

  • items which can still be used
  • old bicycles
  • small (electric) appliances (such as mixers, vacuum cleaners, irons, but also toys and tools)
  • paint, lamps, batteries and other domestic chemical waste
Please note: you are not permitted to bring any construction and demolition waste to the Goeverneurplein.

Are you unable to come to the Goeverneurplein?
