Reserve or cancel the Taxibus

Do you have a Taxibus pass? Reserve a ride with the Taxibus. You can reserve it online or by telephone. Would you like to cancel your ride? Make sure to do this on time. You can cancel up to 1 hour before your scheduled departure.

Many people make use of the Taxibus on 25 and 26 December. Be sure to be on time and order your ride a week in advance.

How does it work

You need a Taxibus pass to make a reservation.

Reserve the Taxibus

  • Make your reservation online or by telephone.
  • You can reserve the ride a few days ahead of time. The Taxibus will come anywhere between 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after the agreed upon time.
  • A regular taxi ride (noteerrit) or a priority ride where you need to arrive on time (prioriteitsrit) can be reserved only by telephone.

Cancel the Taxibus

  • Cancel a ride at least 1 hour before your scheduled departure. Do you know that you no longer need the ride earlier? Notify the Taxibus as soon as possible. You can do this online or by telephone.
  • If you repeatedly fail to cancel your reservation on time, the municipality can block your Taxibus pass. You will then no longer be allowed to travel with the Taxibus.

Pick-up points

The Taxibus will pick you up at your home or destination. You can also arrange to be picked up at 1 of the fixed pick-up points in the city.

Conditions for Taxibus

  • You may take a maximum of 2 bags with you. The bags may not weigh more than 25 kilograms together.
  • The Taxibus operates only within the municipalities of The Hague, Rijswijk and Leidschendam/Voorburg. Your ride must always begin or end in The Hague.

    Reserve or cancel the Taxibus

    By telephone

    Reserve or cancel a Taxibus ride by telephone. Call the Taxibus switchboard on tel. 0900 0345. You can call between 7.30 hrs. and midnight every day of the week. You will be charged for a local call.

    • Clearly state your name and pass number.
    • Indicate whether you are taking somebody or something. For example:

      • a fellow passenger
      • guide dog or assistance dog
      • wheelchair
      • rollator
      • mobility scooter
      • shopping bag on wheels.

    Who is the Taxibus for?

    For all residents of The Hague who have a Taxibus pass. The conditions for the Taxibus pass:

    • You live in the Municipality of The Hague.
    • You have a medical condition which prevents you from using public transportation.
    • You are unable to use the Wijkbus or it is too difficult for you.

    Would you like to travel on the Taxibus? You first need to apply for Wmo (Social Support Act) support. The municipality will then decide together with you if the Taxibus is right for you.

    Regular ride

    Do you travel regularly at a certain time and on a certain day to the same place? You can indicate this. Then you do not have to make a new reservation each time. This is called a noteerrit. Are you unable to make it one time? Cancel the ride at least 1 hour before the scheduled departure. Do not forget to cancel the service while you are on holiday.

    Priority ride

    Are you not allowed to arrive too late at your destination? For example for a wedding ceremony? Reserve a priority ride. Indicate the time and place you need to be. The Taxibus will take this into consideration. You can only reserve a priority ride for the ride there. It is not possible to reserve a priority ride for a doctor or hospital appointment.

    Group transportation

    Would you like to travel with a group? Then you can make use of group transportation with the Taxibus. The group needs to have a minimum of 10 people. Everybody in the group must have a Taxibus pass. The group has 1 specific contact person who also makes the reservation. Register the group 14 days in advance. Call the Taxibus switchboard at tel. 0900 0345 for a group reservation. You will be charged for a local call.

    Make sure you have the following information readily available:

    • name and telephone number of the contact person
    • names and pass numbers for the other passengers
    • address where the group will be picked up and dropped off
    • the time you need to be picked up

    Taxibus hours at the end of the year

    The Taxibus operates on:

    • 31 December until 20.00 hrs.
    • 1 January as of 9.00 hrs.
