The 5-hour sing-a-long extravaganza, the Haags Zwingfestival, will take place on Sunday, 30 August in the Parktheater Den Haag in Zuiderpark. The repertoire will vary from well-known (Dutch) songs to new songs by young local talent.
The headline acts include the corny songwriter Vader Abraham and the Haagse Hazûs, known for ‘Bloed, Zweet & Tranen’. Other acts are Leonie Meijer and Martha Hertogs from ‘The Voice of Holland’, hip hop formation Kern Koppen (unplugged), the Sterren van Escamp, Rinus Ponsen (lyricist for Frans Bauer and Koos Alberts), Merel Moistra (winner of the Frank Boske Award) and the Zwingcafé with Frans de Leef and Henk Anijs.
The Haags Zwingfestival is organised by the R.G. Ruijs Stichting. This organisation is committed to developing new talent and has booked many remarkable musicians for this festival.
The Haags Zwingfestival will take place on Sunday, 30 August in the Parktheater in The Hague’s Zuiderpark from 13.00 to 18.00 hrs. The doors open at 12.00 hrs.
Tickets cost € 10.00 per person (€ 5 with reduction cards or a coupon from De Posthoorn) and are available only from the box office of the Parktheater Den Haag on 30 August.
