Tourist Assistance Service (theft)

Published: 31 August 2009 Modified: 11 August 2010

Like everywhere else in the world, there are individuals in The Hague who are after other people's belongings. We would therefore advise you to keep a close eye on your belongings, wherever you are. Never leave anything in your car where others can see it and hide valuables. Always report theft to the nearest police station.

TAS (Tourist Assistance Service) is an agency within the Haaglanden Police Force, which is dedicated to assisting foreign tourists, conference participants and businesspersons who are visiting The Hague or Delft and who have been the victims of crime or accidents in these cities or elsewhere in the Netherlands. TAS also lends its assistance in cases of missing persons and missing goods when such reports are made to the police.
