The Hague has set out a 60-kilometre route connecting nearly all of the city’s parks and country estates.
The Park Route (Parkenroute) is made up of three parts:
1. northeastern part (22 km),
2. western part (20 km)
3. southwestern part (19 km)
The bicycle is an ideal mode of transportation to get to know your city in a healthy and environmentally-friendly way. The route is for local residents as well as visitors to the city and takes cyclists along the many parks and green areas of The Hague. The route booklet describes the historical value of these parks and country estates.
The bicycle route is marked by small yellow signs with a stork.
You can purchase the route booklet for €1.50 at The Hague Information Centre in The Hague City Hall and at the Tourist Information Offices (VVV). You can also download the route as a PDF from the website of the Fietsersbond Haagse Regio.
