The Hague sees the potential of the ‘new’ Russian tourist who to a large extent is interested in art, culture and shopping.

Russia represents an attractive market for the Netherlands and The Hague as the average Russian tourist tends to stay longer and spend more money than tourists from the other rapidly developing BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China). Together with its city partners, Madurodam and the Steigenberger Kurhaus Hotel, the city hopes to attract more Russian tourists to visit and experience The Hague.

To launch its efforts Madurodam will represent The Hague and its city partners at the Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition at the beginning of March.
