Survey on English travel info

Published: 03 November 2011 Modified: 04 November 2011

In an attempt to provide better service to non-Dutch speaking passengers, HTM is conducting a survey among its customers. Please help HTM by expressing your opinion on their English information on The Hague’s trams and buses.

During the summer of 2011 HTM experimented with providing English and Dutch announcements about the bus and tram stops. These announcements ran for a trial period of one month. Because many international visitors and residents use the HTM public transport system, HTM and the Municipality of The Hague launched this trial together.

The English announcements are intended to assist non-Dutch speaking passengers in finding their way around The Hague. The international community of The Hague region embraced the initiative. Now it’s time to evaluate the experiment in order to further raise the level of quality.

You can take the survey online. You will be asked about your expectations for the level of English information provided in The Hague’s public transportation. You will be asked to listen to some sound bites and to voice your opinion on the speaker’s voice and the word choice.
