Do you live in the Netherlands but have no fixed domicile? And you want to renew your driving licence? Then go to the municipality where you are currently residing.
Do you have a Dutch driving licence, but are not registered with the Municipal Personal Records Database (GBA)? Then you may submit an application to renew your driving licence at the municipality where you are currently residing.
You can renew your driving licence
You will need a medical declaration from the Central Office for Motor Vehicle Driver Testing (CBR) in each of the following cases:

To obtain a driving licence, you need to meet one of the following requirements:
Is your old driving licence still valid as well as clearly readable? Then you may use it as proof of identity as well.
The municipality will verify the authenticity of your identity documents.
Applying for a driving licence: € 45.25.
Penalty for lost document: an additional € 34.95
Please note: These fees must be paid upfront when you submit your application.
The Dutch Road Transport Directorate (RDW) will contact you when you can collect your driving licence from the municipality.
