On Wednesday evening, 24 February 2010, a political debate will take place in the Atrium of The Hague City Hall on local issues with international people.
The HaGuest Card is organising the political debate in light of the municipal elections on 3 March 2010 in the Netherlands. EU expats and expats with a permanent residence permit are allowed to vote during these elections. But do you know which party to vote for? Do you realise that there are 20 parties you can vote for in The Hague? Would you like to use your democratic right to vote but would like to learn more about what all the parties have to say?
Come to the debate in English which is organised especially for expats with voting rights in The Hague. Mayor Jozias van Aartsen will welcome you to City Hall and is hoping to see many of you to discuss several issues with the local politicians. Now it’s your time to ask politicians about safety, environmental issues, immigration laws, culture and many other subjects.
The HaGuest Card is proud to organise this event in cooperation with the Municipality of The Hague. City Hall will open its doors at 20.00 hrs for people who have registered in advance and the debate will start at 20.30 hrs. After the debate you will have the opportunity to attend a ‘Meet & Greet’ with the politicians.
Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity and join us by sending an email to: welcome@thehaguestcard.com.
We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, 24 February 2010 in The Hague City Hall.
