Parnassia is a psychiatric centre that counsels, treats and cares for people with psychiatric disorders.
Parnassia is located in The Hague region and Zoetermeer and is part of the Parnassia Group. The psychiatric centre treats and counsels (young) adults with psychotic disorders and people over the age of 55 years suffering from psychological problems and difficulties with their memory. One of the centre's core activities is to provide at-home support for people with psychiatric problems, including nursing home care.
Parnassia can help with family and relationship issues. Assistance can be provided to people suffering from depression, confusion, feelings they can’t go on and extreme anxiety. The centre also helps older people cope with the mental issues which come with the aging process.
The psychiatric centre is divided into four kinds of mental health care: Seniors, Adults, Nursing Home Care and Service Centrum Haaglanden.
The first intake appointment with a staff member is usually within four weeks. The first step is to discuss the problem and the course of action. Generally Parnassia tries to help patients through counselling. In the event of serious problems Parnassia also has a short-term in-patient facility.
Parnassia requires a referral from your GP or medical specialist. All information is strictly confidential.
