Princess Máxima opened the new Mother-Child Centre in Bronovo Hospital on 8 June. The Mother-Child Centre is a modern centre, where both the wards and the rooms offer privacy and comfort.
Following their renovation the Amalia Maternity Ward, the delivery rooms and the Willem-Alexander Children’s Ward have been combined into one Mother-Child Centre at Bronovo to provide optimal care and service to mother and child.
The Amalia Maternity Ward comprises 16 single and two double maternity studios where the mother’s partner can stay the night. These studios provide more privacy to the mother, partner and child around the birth.
The Willem-Alexander Children’s Ward comprises three incubator suites which allow the parents the possibility of staying with their child for 24 hours a day. There is also a spacious incubator/cradle room with seven sections and rooms for more occupants where children can stay or come for day care. One of the parents may also stay the night.
The new centre has a large playroom for children of all ages.
