All households in The Hague received a new Afvalpas in November 2011. The pass provides access to the three garbage and recycling stations in the city (Binckhorst, Zichtenburg and Scheveningen). Residents will not have access to the stations without a valid new pass.
Many visitors to the city’s garbage and recycling stations are still using the old pass, but it is no longer valid. Residents wanting to dispose of their oversized household waste and other types of waste need to take the new Afvalpas with them. The new Afvalpas is valid until the end of 2015.
Residents of The Hague who have lost or misplaced their Afvalpas can apply for a new one by contacting the municipality.
