The International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) in The Hague is the institute for research and education in development studies and international relations. It is part of Erasmus University Rotterdam.
The courses - all taught in English - provide knowledge and insights in a number of fields, including development economics, sociology, politics, public policy and management, governance, gender, employment, migration, population, social security, children and youth, and human rights.
ISS offers:
All degrees are recognised internationally and by Dutch legislation on higher education.
Over 11,000 people from more than 150 countries worldwide have studied at ISS. Many of them now hold a leading position in governments, NGOs, academic institutes and other organisations.
