Four hotels in The Hague appear in the Expedia list of the 2,500 best hotels in the world for 2010. Hotels Des Indes on the Lange Voorhout topped the list of 18 hotels in the Netherlands. Other toppers in The Hague were the Carlton Ambassador Hotel, Mövenpick and Hotel 108 Meerdervoort.
The international bookings website Expedia presents an annual list of the best hotels of the world called the Expedia® Insiders' Select™. The selection is based on the experiences of more than 1 million hotel guests worldwide.
According to Daan van de Kamp from The Hague Convention Bureau, the Expedia selection ‘proves the quality of The Hague’s hotels’.
The prestigious Des Indes was ranked at 465, Carlton Ambassador is third among the Dutch hotels and was ranked at 639. The Mövenpick came in at number 1,936 and Hotel 108 Meerdervoort came in at 2,296.
The Expedia Insiders’ Select is an easy-to-browse list of top hotels in terms of value and quality, as determined by more than 1 million travellers.
Den Haag Marketing (The Hague Convention & Visitors Bureau) is the umbrella organisation for marketing and promoting The Hague and its two beach resorts, Scheveningen and Kijkduin. The Haags Uitburo, the Tourist Information Offices (VVV), the Convention Bureau and Den Haag Topsport all fall under Den Haag Marketing.
