The Hague is cheering on the Dutch football team in South Africa with flags, banners and hordes of Beesies. All the decorations have naturally been hung up high enough to allow emergency service vehicles and rubbish collection trucks to pass. The Municipality of The Hague is supporting the national team by colouring the fountain on the Spuiplein orange for the coming time.
The water has been made orange using a natural dye, which is completely safe for people and animals. Nevertheless, the water in the fountain is not suitable for drinking. If the water gets on your clothes, the colour will come out in the wash.
The special World Cup fountain can be seen in any case until Thursday, 24 June.
