The Hague has been chosen to organise the European Beach Volleyball Championship.
Scheveningen beach and The Hague Beach Stadium will set the stage for the 20th edition of the continental championships from 29 May to 3 June 2012. This was decided by the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) on 15 December.
Deputy Mayor Karsten Klein (Youth, Welfare and Sport) of The Hague says that the CEV’s decision shows that The Hague has much to offer in the area of beach and water sports. Next week in Switzerland the alderman will also present The Hague’s bid to host the Beach Volleyball World Championships in 2015.
