Educaide and ACIE can advise you on a wide range of subjects related to international education in the Netherlands.

Educaide advises schools, authorities, teachers, parents and students in a wide range of subjects pertaining to international and bilingual education in the Netherlands. The objective of Educaide is:

  • To provide proper information about international and bilingual primary and secondary education in the Netherlands;
  • To create a register of international, native English-speaking teaching staff who want to work in the Netherlands,  either in a full- or part-time position, or as a substitute;
  • To register and process the vacant posts of teachers at the various international and bilingual schools in the Netherlands;
  • To facilitate schools in managing the flow of international teaching staff;
  • To mediate between teachers and schools, and between parents/students and schools;
  • To assist students and parents in choosing the right school; and
  • To guide students and parents in finding solutions for other educational needs.

Educaide provides assistance in applying for the accreditation of foreign teaching credentials with the Dutch Ministry of Education and work permits for non-EU teaching staff.

The Advice Centre for International Education (ACIE) provides independent advice, support and guidance for parents/guardians, pupils and educators about all aspects of international education within the Netherlands. Its primary aim is to help meet the individual requirements of each child so that they have every opportunity to reach their potential.

The services ACIE offers:

  • Advice and guidance on the best academic route for your child/pupil.
  • An individual support plan including the facilitation of diagnosis of special education needs, if necessary.
  • Liaison between schools, parents and educational specialists.
  • Meetings to help facilitate Individual Education Plans.
  • The implementation of courses, training and therapy on an individual basis or in groups.
  • Working with children with special educational needs: social-emotional, behavioral and learning difficulties.
