Colourful The Hague walk

Most people are familiar with The Hague as the city of peace and justice. The Binnenhof (parliament building) and the Peace Palace are well known icons. The Hague, however, has much more to offer. The Hague is colourful and multicultural. Get to know the colourful side of The Hague during this unique tour.

The guided tour will take place Friday, 18 November starting at 12.45 hrs. The group will assemble in front of The Hague International Centre in the Atrium of The Hague City Hall.

Registration

The guided tour is free of charge; however, space is limited. Would you like to join the Colourful The Hague walk? Please register before Friday, 4 November by sending an email with your contact details to haagsebrug@denhaag.nl.

Programme
12.45 – 13.00 hrs. Meet at The Hague International Centre in the Atrium of City Hall, Spui 70
13.00 – 14.00 hrs. First part of the Colourful The Hague walk including the Grote Kerk and Chinatown
14.00 – 14.45 hrs. Visit to the Sarnámihuis and an introduction to the history, language and culture of the Indian population in the Netherlands and Suriname
14.45 – 15.30 hrs. Second part of the walk through the Schilderswijk
15.30 – 16.00 hrs. Time for a break in Turkish restaurant Kervansaray with a cup of coffee or tea and Turkish baklava
16.00 – 16.30 hrs. Visit to the Haagse Markt
16.30 hrs. Back to the city centre with public transportation. End of tour.
