The British band Coldplay will give an open-air concert on Malieveld in The Hague in September. Concert organiser Mojo made the announcement on 9 December.
The live performance on Thursday, 6 September 2012 is part of the band’s world tour. According to a spokesman, Coldplay is keen to play outdoors. The last time Mojo organised a concert on Malieveld was in 1998 when the Rolling Stones performed there.
Coldplay, which released its album Mylo Xyloto this autumn, will give a concert in Rotterdam’s Ahoy on 17 December. The band’s spokesman says the concert hall is actually too small for the Brtitish band. Malieveld can accommodate up to 60,000 people.
Tickets can be purchased starting on 16 December through Live Nation.
