Plaques on interesting historical buildings in The Hague will get Dutch- and English-language information. The Hague Municipal Executive agreed to this proposal by a local political party.
According to The Hague chapter of the D66, ‘The Hague is an international city visited by many tourists and where expats live. It’s great that expats and tourists will soon be able to read information about important buildings.’
The Municipal Executive indicated that not only the current information plaques will contain information in two languages but that it will be identifying other buildings which may be eligible for such plaques.
The D66 suggested a number of buildings which at the moment have no information signs, such as the birthplace of Christiaan Huygens on the Lange Houtstraat and the Logement van Amsterdam at Plein 23.
