Is there someone registered at your address who no longer lives there?
You can request an address investigation into this occupant from the
Department of Public Service. The municipality checks whether anyone is
living at the address other than the people registered in the Municipal
Personal Records Database (GBA).
You are the owner, tenant or co-occupant of the domicile.
The municipality will verify the authenticity of your identity documents.
Please note: If you are sending the request in writing or by e-mail,
make legible copies or scans of the documents and send these along as
an enclosure. Otherwise the municipality will not handle your request.
This service is free of charge. If you would like a receipt, please include this in your request.
An address investigation takes a maximum of 10 weeks.
