The Dutch Eredivisie club ADO Den Haag has singed a lucrative multi-year deal with the Japanese multinational cooperation Kyocera Mita, reports SportsProMedia. As one of the results of the deal the club's stadium will now be renamed Kyocera Stadium.
The stadium was built in 2007 and has a capacity of 15,000. The financial terms and the exact length of the agreement have not been revealed although there are speculations that the deal is worth around $ 750,000 a year for a three-year period.
Kyocera Mita general manager Etienne Hendriks said, ‘We are delighted with this deal. ADO Den Haag stadium is located in a very interesting area. Millions of motorists drive past it annually and we expect this will help to build our reputation. I also have a soft spot for ADO Den Haag. The Hague is my hometown and its football club is close to my heart. Kyocera Mita has been involved with ADO Den Haag in the past and will continue to be in the future. I'm confident this new partnership will help to build a bright future for both parties.’
ADO Den Haag commercial director Dick Vierling said, ‘ADO Den Haag is extremely proud that Kyocera has chosen to identify itself with our new stadium. In this difficult economic times it is great news that Kyocera has chosen to commit itself to the club for several years.’
ADO Den Haag finished last season in 15th place in the 2009-2010 Eredivise league table.
