The Hague Greeters are a network of local volunteers who share their pride of the city with visitors. Because of their enthusiastic, personal and friendly approach, The Hague Greeters ensure that visitors feel welcome and at home.
During the walking tours they show visitors their favorite neighborhoods, shops, streets, etc. They also show visitors how public transportation works and fun places they can check out.
To become a Hague Greeter, an applicant must respond ‘yes’ 11 times to questions in the Greeter test.
The Hague Greeters are available at least six partial days of at least 2 hours each day during the year. Greeter trips start between 9.00 and 19.00 hrs. The trips are organized 365 days a year, rain or shine.
For more information, visit the website of The Hague Greeters (also available in French, German, Spanish and Dutch).
