You can bring all kinds of waste and refuse to the garbage and recycling stations (afvalbrengstations) for disposal.
Residents of The Hague who would like to dispose of their garbage at the city’s three garbage and recycling stations must be able to show their Afvalpas to prove that they actually live in The Hague. Each household in The Hague will receive one Afvalpas. The Afvalpas will be scanned at the entrance; the pass has a bar code which links it to your home address.
A household waste calendar and Afvalpas were sent to all households in The Hague.
If you haven't received your Afvalpas, contact the municipality on tel. 14 070.
You will need to pay for the disposal of certain kinds of household waste including construction and demolition waste, gravel and wired glass. Asbestos can be disposed of free-of-charge at the Plutostraat in special packaging material. Have a look at the Dutch information for the fee structure for the various kinds of waste.
The garbage and recycling stations are located at:
The opening times are Monday to Saturday from 8.30 until 17.00 hrs.
