Affordable hotel for students

Published: 02 February 2012 Modified: 07 February 2012

City Living Student Housing has submitted an application for a building permit for The Student Hotel The Hague.

The first ‘student hotel’ in The Hague will have 320 rooms and suites. Plans are for it to be built on the Van Limburg Stirumstraat near the Hollands Spoor train station. The Student Hotel The Hague is expected to open in September 2013.

The Student Hotel The Hague is destined to boost the city’s reputation as a world-class student town. It will provide accommodation for students of Leiden University The Hague, The Hague University and Inholland as well as other educational institutes in the region. It touts itself as ‘an affordable hotel with the amenities of your own home’ for students, their family and friends and visiting professors and researchers.

City Living Student Housing acquired the Limburg Van Stirum House in 2009. City Living and the CEREP III Fund of The Carlyle Group will invest € 23 million in the purchase and renovation of the building.
