Omniversum

The Omniversum offers you an unique experience. The IMAX films are projected onto the impressive 840m² giant dome. The visitor is submerged in a world of perception; the images are all around and due to the digital surround sound with 36 speakers and four subwoofers it is a true experience. Seated in a comfortable chair the visitor participates in exciting adventures in space and time.

IMAX films

Omniversum offers a wide variety of IMAX films. One frame of the 70mm IMAX film is 10 times bigger than a 'normal' cinema-film. Supported by a 15,000-Watt Xenon lamp, which is water-cooled, each film frame is 500 times enlarged onto the dome.

The fascinating images take the visitor to unknown destinations in a world of forces of nature, science and culture. Imagine: chimpanzees jumping around you, a huge shark swimming next to you or you swimming with dolphins in the wild. Or travel like an astronaut through space, or stand on the top of Mount Everest. And all that while you are sitting in your chair!

The auditorium has a capacity of 300 comfortable seats, layed out in theatre style. The auditorium provides easy access for the less-abled and has 3 places reserved for wheelchairs. In the lobby you can buy souvenirs of the films and you can enjoy different snacks and drinks. Every hour you can experience a different expedition in Omniversum!

Looking for the ultimate adventure with your friends? Then join expedition Omniversum on a voyage of discovery. Explore coral reefs, swim with the dolphins, frolic with the chimpanzees or visit the most beautiful places on earth. And all of that on an impressive giant IMAX dome. Add some cake, lemonade and gifts for a birthday bash you’ll never forget!

The films are in Dutch, English translation available by earphone (EUR 0,70 per piece).
