The Upbringing Support Centre (Opvoedsteunpunt) offers help and support to parents with questions, doubts or concerns about raising their children.
The support centre provides information, advice and the opportunity to talk to a qualified professional about issues concerning children ranging in age from newborns to 19-year-olds. In some cases you may be referred to more specialised professional care.
An Upbringing Support Centre is located in the Centre for Children and Families (Centrum Jeugd en Gezin/CJG) in each of The Hague’s city districts.
Each Upbringing Support Centre has office hours in the Centre for Children and Families for walk-ins or you can call the CJG for an appointment. They also offer appointments at other locations in the neighbourhood or at your home.
The service is free of charge and you do not have to supply any personal information. An appointment takes about 1 hour and there is no waiting list for appointments. The centre abides by a confidentiality agreement.
