The Hague’s Public Health Department (GGD) works to ensure the health of all residents of The Hague. The GGD is also where you go to get your travel vaccinations.
The Hague's Public Health Department (GGD Den Haag) has the following sections: Epidemiology, Social Services & Health Promotion, Public (Mental) Health Care, Infectious Disease Control, Children's Health Services and Ambulance Care.

Sections of the Public Health Department
The GGD Den Haag consists of the following sections (product groups):
- Epidemiology
Epidemiology & Health Promotion inspects the health of the residents of The Hague. The section also provides advice and information on public health. - Public (Mental) Health Care (O(G)GZ)
O(G)GZ regulates the care and medical care for vulnerable groups of people like houseless, homeless and illegal people and drug addicts. - Infectious Disease Control and Hygiene (I&H)
An important task of I&H is to combat and prevent infectious diseases like sexually transmitted infections and tuberculosis. - Children's Health Services (JGZ)
The staff of Jeugdgezondheidszorg (JGZ) work to ensure the healthy growth and development of children from 0 to 19 years. - Ambulance Service (AMZ)
The GGD's ambulance service provides assistance and transportation to patients and accident victims.
