Haga Teaching Hospital combines the powers of three hospitals in The Hague.
Haga Teaching Hospital was created on 1 July 2004 as a result of the merger between three hospitals in The Hague: Juliana Children's Hospital, Red Cross Hospital and Leyenburg Hospital. The key reason behind the merger was to broaden and deepen the offer of care to patients. The merger also enabled the hospitals to considerably improve their financial position.
Sick children should be taken to a hospital with a high level of knowledge and experience in caring for sick children and their parents. The Juliana Children's Hospital site on Sportlaan is such a place, and fulfils a regional function in The Hague region.
