Children's Outpatient Clinic at Bronovo
Published: 25 August 2009 Modified: 13 November 2009
Bronovo Hospital has a Children's Outpatient Clinic for expat children. The paediatricians at Bronovo will hold consultation hours for this target group from 13.30 till 15.30 hrs every other Tuesday afternoon.
The Expat Children's Outpatient Clinic is intended for expat children under the age of 18. The children can visit the Children’s Outpatient Clinic for a wide range of medical problems as well as vaccinations and check-ups. Appointments can be made by calling (070) 312 41 16.
By introducing these consultation times, Bronovo Hospital is meeting a need amongst expats for direct and easy access to a paediatrician, as is often the practice in their home countries.
Bronovo takes initiative
In and around The Hague there are an estimated 35,000 – 40,000 expats, or foreigners living on a temporary or permanent basis in a country with a different culture from their own. In many areas, including health care, things are often organised differently in the Netherlands then in their home country.
Bronovo is the first hospital in the region to offer, in cooperation with primary caretakers (ie general practitioners), in-house expertise to this target group and to clearly explain to them how health care works in the Netherlands works and to optimise its services to expats.
