You can obtain a resident’s parking permit for on-street parking at the Parking Department. You can also request a visitor’s permit so that your visitors do not have to buy a parking ticket from the dispenser.
You qualify for a parking permit if you are registered in the GBA of The Hague and live in a neighbourhood with paid parking. Residents with a private parking spot or garage are not eligible for a parking permit. Click here for an overview of the neighbourhoods with paid parking.
In person
To apply in person, please visit The Hague’s Municipal Parking Division. This is the fastest way of getting your parking permit as you will be issued your permit immediately.
Online
You can apply for a resident's or visitor's parking permit electronically using an online application form (in Dutch). You will be asked to upload the required documents. This procedure takes four working days.
By post
Print out the online application form below, place your signature at the bottom of the form and send it together with the required documents to the Parking Division. This procedure takes 14 working days due to the processing time for your payment. After your application form is received by the Parking Division, you will receive a bank transfer form. The parking permit will be sent to you once your payment is received.
