The Hague Student Union represents the interests of students living or studying in The Hague, including both members and non-members.
The Hague Student Union (Haagse Studentenvakbond) actively represents the interests of The Hague's students in the areas of housing, quality of education and international students. The Hague Student Union meets regularly with policy makers and educational institutions to discuss these subjects. In addition, debates are organised each year in which students can discuss various topics with policy makers.
The Hague Student Union represents the interest of 30,000 students living and/or studying in The Hague. Even if you are studying in another city, but living in The Hague, the union is committed to your interests. In addition, you can go to The Hague Student Union with individual issues. The Union tries to advise and assist students with problems on an individual basis.
Since not everything can be solved locally, The Hague Student Union is affiliated with the National Student Union (LSVb). Through the LSVb The Hague Student Union can exert influence on issues being challenged at a national level, such as improvements in the area of student loans and the student travel card (OV-jaarkaart).
Membership of the Hague student union costs € 5 per academic year. Go to the website of the Haagse Studentenvakbond for more information.
