In The Hague there is a variety of clubs where students can take part in sports, culture or music. Some clubs fall under one educational institution, while others are open to all students living or studying in The Hague.
A short description below will give you an idea of what kinds of student clubs there are in The Hague. September is Open Month at clubs when special activities are held for new members. Please be aware that many of the clubs are Dutch-speaking.
Alpha Den Haag is a Christian association and member of the Alpha Landelijk umbrella association. A Bible study is held every other week. Many creative and inspiring activities are held on other evenings as well.
Ars Vivendi is also a Christian club. In addition to Bible study nights, the club holds seminars in their own clubhouse and activities such as a Christmas dinner and weekend.
Dynamica is a student club at The Hague University and is geared to Dutch-Moroccan students or people with an affinity with Morocco. If you would like to learn Arabic, you can turn to Dynamica. Dynamica organises a trip each year; previous destinations included Morocco and Dubai.
This club is for students of Turkish origin and would like to encourage integration through a number of activities. Eurasia promotes Turkish culture with folk dancing lessons, music courses and seminars.
The Schutters Korps is a club where you can learn how to shoot a gun or pistol and where you can learn more about defence and military history.
HSV was set up in 1929 and is the oldest and most traditional student club in The Hague, with several committees, debating societies, societies of students from the same year and dorms. Students meet and drink in the Megara clubhouse across the street from the Peace Palace.
Hexagon is focused on six Caribbean islands: Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Saba, St Eustatius and St. Maarten. The association was founded to familiarise students with Antillean and Aruban culture.

HSFN represents Indian students in the Netherlands and provides information about Indian topics and student issues. It organises activities in the area of amusement, study, career and culture.
With 350 members INTAC is currently the largest club in The Hague. The association has its own year club and a number of debating societies. Clubhouse party nights and activities are held weekly at Het Café.
INTAC International is a pub especially catering to international students in The Hague. Located only 5 minutes from The Hague University you will find fellow exchange students from all over the world and from your study.
Through InterAcces international students get to meet Dutch students. At the start of the school year, the club organises several trips to acquaint students with the Netherlands. In addition, InterAcces organises parties, meetings, poker tournaments and seminars.
La Confrérie is for students of the Hotelschool. The club has its own clubhouse: the Kinderbar. The Hotelschool also has an international student association called Senti Questo.

The name Mashriq means ‘the East’. Members of this student club come from all parts of the world, but mainly from India and Pakistan. They are famous for their halal gatherings and debates on current topics.
The Hague chapter is a member of the national organisation with many sister associations in which the Christian faith plays a central role. NSVDH has its own clubhouse.
Pallas Athene is an open club. Everybody is welcome at the meetings at its clubhouse Theseion at Bierkade 13. New members attend an introductory weekend. It’s also possible to join a debating society or a society of students from the same year.
Pelargos is a student rowing club with its own boat dock behind The Hague University. Starters, advanced or very advanced rowers can come and row at their own level. The members also like to organise parties and sailing trips as well as social gatherings in their pub Momfer.
TREES is part of the Inholland University of Applied Sciences and has its own student lounge bar at the college. TREES is open to everyone, but as a member you have certain benefits such as free access to parties and discounts on activities.
The HSSO Valerius Orchestra is a student orchestra which rehearses Tuesday nights and is open to all students in The Hague. It is a young and ambitious symphony orchestra with three exciting musical projects a year.
