It’s an almost overwhelming multimedia experience. Visitors to The Hague City Hall can treat themselves to a free 10-minute artistic film about The Hague’s past and future.
Images of the city are projected onto five screens measuring 18 metres in length in a new half-round cinema in the Atrium called ‘The Hague Impressions’. The multimedia show is reflected in a mirrored floor. The film runs continuously and highlights different themes such as history, peace and justice, culture, sports and events.
The dynamic film – in which viewers are caught up in a kind of sea of images and surround sound – is meant to give a good impression of The Hague's diversity and all there is to do in the city.
The cinema itself can also be used for receptions and is part of the
totally renewed The Hague Information Centre in the Atrium. The Hague
Municipal Archives are located in the information centre and residents
can go there to read about the municipality’s plans and projects.
